Ultimate Car Show - Larne, 25th March

Sunday 25th March marked the date on the calender for the first show of the year for CelicaIreland and it's members. Despite a lack of sleep due to the British Summer Time changes, from near and far they travelled to the Co Antrim harbour town of Larne for the Ultimate Car Show. This annual show is very popular and this year was no exception and was boosted by spectacular sunny weather that brought the crowds out in droves. What the crowds found was a huge selection of modified and classic cars on display and CelicaIreland were proud to play their part by having a great selection of cars on their club stand. Was great to see many of our regular members having their cars on display and also to have a couple of members having their cars on the stand for the first time, it was also particularly exciting seeing club Admin Foghorn Leghorn having his fantastic GT4 back on the club stand and this will be a welcome addition to our club stands for 2012. Massive thanks must go to the organisers who put on a fantastic show and raised a total of £8000 for local charities. We can now look forward to the next show that we will be taking part in ~ Festival of Speed at Long Kesh on Saturday 28th April there are a small number of places available for members who wish to take part.
Newry/Greenore meet up.

Celica Ireland had their first meet up of the 2012 season in Newry/Greenore on Sunday. The weather was good and the craic was even better when members met up in Newry. There was only 13 Celica's at this meet up which was a bit disappointing but never the less it was good to see some new faces to the club. Members made their way through Newry where we had heads turning to see what was going on in their city. It was then a short 15 minutes drive to Greenore where we were met by the stunning views this small village had to offer. The craic and banter was on again for the next few hours, members chatted about their cars as new friendships were made. Celica Ireland would like to thank everyone who made the effort to attend and hope you all really enjoyed the day. Celica Ireland are planning our next meet up in April so look forward to seeing you there.

Celica Ireland's 2nd birthday in Cavan

Celica's as far as the eye can see.
On Sunday 16th October they came from every corner of Ireland to celebrate CelicaIrelands 2nd birthday. In total we had 37 Celicas in attendance which is the biggest collection of privately owned Celicas ever assembled on this Isle. A fantastic day was had by all, firstly we met in Belturbet where we had a beautiful meal at the Seven Horseshoes restaurant, we then headed to Cavan where we had a great reception at the local Toyota dealer, where we had great pics taken by the cameraman from the local newspaper, we then cruised to a local forest for more pics, chat and craic. Have to say a great time was had by all and top marks should go to club moderator Bronson (Eoin) for the hard work that he put in to organising this. Biggest thanks must go to those members who attended and also to the many friends and partners who also came along. Here's to our continuing growth and success in 2012, our 3rd birthday celebration should be epic.
